Yesterday an overwhelmed young man, sent by his company to work in my house, poured out the pressure he was under. Financial issues mounting, life problems seemed to be multiplying. Feeling "done" and afraid of a heart attack, his car problems, parents needing help, denied loans and wife not understanding his pressure, made him sound like a fighter taking his last swing at his opponent, as he's going down. As he spoke I could hear the belief that good is always met with equal and opposite forces of bad that pull him down the hill. This belief had him in a stronghold.

How often do you get influenced by a fierce and undermining belief that's taking you down?
Challenge that belief with truth that you have inside you, not your circumstances.

Discussing his past, I pointed to the turning points he had when he had breakthrough from difficult times, times when he was "losing." He slowly recalled what he had inside him, and the deeper values driving him forward, and that God loves him  like he loves his toddler.
When he left, there was energy in his step and renewed spirit.

What are you believing today that is stopping you from embracing life?

The brilliant pink stripe across the early morning sky ushers in joy for the day. As it rises, its beauty blends with the blue awaiting above. Soon, the bright pink dissipates and gray possesses the expansive ceiling.

Frustration can move in to our minds and overtake our joy.  But, frustration can be an opportunity to pull us out of a decaying situation. It, too, serves a purpose not to settle for less, if we acknowledge it, and move toward positive change. The joy of the morning will return.

Where is quiet frustration dulling your life? What, if you accepted you're frustration, might you see?
